I attended a workshop of Ashok Patki Ji when I was five years old. He asked me to sing a song and I sang a Marathi song of Lataji, called ‘Ghan Rani’. He played Harmonium when I was singing and even gave me a chocolate after my performance. After the workshop ended, he recorded a Ghazal in my voice and this recording became even more special for me as it was the first ever recording of my life! Even today, when he meets me, he lovingly calls me ‘Pillu’. Such a Legendary Musician of our industry and yet so humble, down – to – earth and simple he is! I shall always remain indebted to him.
